A cold attic doesn’t sound pleasant, but it can prevent a lot of winter damage! A warm attic means melting ice on your roof, which could cause both damage to your walls and dangerous ice dams. Remember that heat rises, so make sure your attic is well ventilated to let the warm air escape. Also, check that there is sufficient insulation between the ceiling of your home and the floor of the attic to keep as much heat as you can inside your living quarters.
